Kingwood Maternity Session | Gaines Family

My first ever blog post goes out to a family I had the absolute honor to photograph over the summer. We had storms all around us, bugs and weeds trying to attack us, and the hot summer sun in Houston to contend with, but we walked away with some truly beautiful shots! This session showed how quickly certain locations can change especially during the summer in Houston. I had a session with another family in this same location just a few days before and the bugs were minimal and the grass was still soft, but boy, that heat sure made it crispy out there quick! This was the last session I was able to do here before the whole field was done for the summer, and it did not disappoint! I’m so glad they were such troopers and trusted me to capture this special time in their lives.

Their story is one of the most amazing stories I’ve ever heard. This family has been through so much, they’re all heroes in my book! I am so excited for them and their miracle baby, and feel so blessed to have met them.
